Child custody mediation is a confidential, voluntary process where parents work with a neutral mediator to create a parenting plan that serves their children's best interests, without the need for court intervention.

We specialize in high-conflict custody cases. Our approach includes structured communication protocols, separate sessions if needed, and specialized techniques to manage emotional intensity while keeping children's needs at the center.

Children are not typically present in mediation sessions. However, their needs and wellbeing are central to every discussion. We can incorporate child development specialists or child interviews when appropriate and beneficial.

The mediation discussions are non-binding. However, once both parents agree to a parenting plan and sign the Memorandum of Understanding, it becomes a legally binding agreement that can be submitted to the court for approval.

The timeline varies depending on the complexity of issues and parental cooperation. Simple cases may resolve in 4-6 sessions, while high-conflict cases may require 8-12 sessions or more.
